Once the group meets up with the guide you will then proceed to the Vatican Museums. Here, your expert English-speaking guide will share their knowledge of the Vatican’s 4,000 year-old history, share secrets and stories of days gone by whilst taking you round the Gallery of Tapestries, the Gallery of Maps, the Gallery of Candelabras, finishing off with a stroll in Bramante’s Pinecone Courtyard.

You will then proceed to the Sistine Chapel, where you can stare in delight at Michelangelo’s famous The Creation of Adam, as well as The Last Judgement. Whilst here you can also spend time taking in the enchantment of the Pope’s private chapel.
The last visit and the end of your tour will be to the beautiful St Peter’s Basilica, where you can take time to admire La Pietà, a stunning Michelangelo sculpture created by the artist when he was just 24, as well as Bernini’s Baldacchino. Throughout your tour you are free to ask questions and listen to the streams of knowledge your guide will fill you with, as each tour is designed to ensure that you have the maximum amount of time to complete at your own pace and fully appreciate and enjoy your experience.

In the afternoon, you will continue exploring Rome by paying a visit to the world's most famous amphitheater. We will meet at Largo Gaetana Agnesi which is the terrace above the metro station Colosseum. There you will be welcomed by our colleagues wearing purple shirts and you will get to know your guide who will be leading you into the Rome's most famous monument. Once inside the Colosseum, you will be able to admire the engineering and architecture of this fascinating monument, learning  about the history behind it.

Last but not least this tour will take you on a journey through the Palatine Hill & the Roman Forum where you will be able to admire the incredible ruins and enjoy panoramic views of the Colosseum.

The Roman Forum was the social, political, religious and financial center of the Roman Empire and the most incredible site of Ancient Roman civilization with various structures still standing. All layers of Roman society rubbed shoulders together daily whether, for personal, business or political purposes, anyone from homeless beggars to rich senators could be found there.

The Palatine Hill is the foundation point of Rome and holds until this day many layers of history. You can find ruins from the early kingdom of Rome in 7th century BCE and the Roman Republic in the later centuries BCE to the jaw-dropping palace of Emperor Domitian in the Imperial Age. Further, you can see the more recent presence of the Farnese family during the Renaissance and that of Mussolini in the 20th century.
